It was in 1918 that Thor Ahlgren started his business in Skillingaryd, Småland. As the innovator he was, the production took place In self-produced tools and machines. The company developed and after a while the business was refined against pressing and punching of sheet metal details in various materials.
Since the early 1940s, we have been a given contract supplier to companies in the Swedish automotive industry. Today we are also a highly qualified contract manufacturer many other industries, such as the electronics, engineering, telecom and furniture industries.
Larger expansion of production area to expand capacity and process offering.
A further expansion took place in the mid-80s
In the early 90s, the first alkaline washing machine in Sweden was installed in Thor Ahlgren
Hook’s production was acquired, where we now have our laser cutting and CNC machining.
Fine blanking comes in as a new process in the business
The first laser cutting machine on site and Thor Ahlgren broadens its process offering. This has since been developed to also include CNC-machines
